Primary Chronicle
The Radziwill Chronicle tells about the nation's development from its mythical origins to 1110 AD. It contains a legendary account of how Christianity was introduced to the Rus by the Grand Prince Vladimir.
It was written and illustrated by monks in the 15th C. and contains a mixture of fact and legend.
The top picture shows Vladimir despatching his envoys to look for a religion that he could use to bind the disparate groups into a single nation.
