Dedicated Servants
The Old Manse/Church Western Siberia 1992
This dilapidated 3 room manse also doubled as a church. Despite temperatures that fall as low as -50° C in winter, the house had no heating other than the brick stove which had to be fed day and night.
The tiny bedroom of approx 10 feet x 8 feet accommodated a family of four with another one on the way.
The total water supply consisted of a 44 gallon drum some 20 yards from the house. This water had to be delivered. It turned to ice in winter.
